Transitional care is designed for patients who require a short-term therapy or treatment following a stay in the acute-care hospital. It is ideal for patients who are too ill to go directly home or patients who are dependent on special equipment but do not need the intensity of the hospital.

The Transitional Care Center is a licensed 115-bed facility providing transitional short-term therapy and is located in Torrance.
