Designed to reduce the institutional atmosphere of traditional hospitals, the Hannon Tower represents a dramatic shift from the hospital environment of the past. Careful consideration has been given to creating many unique elements that contribute to a healing environment.

Expanded Capacity

As Little Company of Mary Hospital has grown from its opening in 1960, so have the needs of the communities that we serve. Nowhere is that growth… and the need… more evident than in the areas of Emergency Care, Critical Care and Women’s Health. The Hannon Tower addresses those concerns with a powerful blend of medicine and a true healing environment.

Emergency Department (Ground Floor)

Privacy and comfort, as well as efficiency and flexibility, have been carefully considered in our relocated and modernized Emergency Department.

•	The Emergency Department has expanded from 17 to 28 rooms, increasing our patient capacity from 45,000 visits per year to more than 60,000.

•	Seven “Fast Track” beds allow for the efficient treatment of minor injuries and illnesses.

•	Patient rooms are private, for increased patient and family comfort and privacy.

•	We’ve added a pediatric emergency care physician to oversee development and clinical quality as we further emphasize pediatric emergency care.

•	For added patient and physician convenience, a radiology unit has been located within the Emergency Department.

•	A pharmacy, for those medications needed by the emergency patient, is conveniently located nearby and is open 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.
